Set up a custom domain for your Booklaunch.io page

Warning: If you are making changes to an existing domain that currently has a site running on it, and are not familiar with DNS changes, please contact your Domain Registrar or Booklaunch support before making changes. Making incorrect changes can cause your existing site to experience downtime.

This is the most technical feature we have and can be a bit confusing. Feel free to contact us at help@booklaunch.io to ask questions or get specific instructions on setting this up with your exact Domain Registrar.

Did you purchase an amazing domain name for your book? Awesome! We want you to use that as your Booklaunch.io page domain. Here's how to make that happen:

First, if you haven't purchased your custom domain, do that. You can use any domain registrar. Options include: Name.com, IWantMyName.com, Hover.com, NameCheap.com. Make sure that the domain registrar you use provides DNS-server management controls.

Second, once you've purchased your custom domain, log into your registrar account. Locate the custom domain you want to use and access its DNS-server management controls. Depending on which registrar you use, this section may be called "Zone File Settings", "DNS Manager", or something similar.

Note: You can add multiple domains, subdomains, and combinations of both that map to your Booklaunch page. Simply comma separate them in the Custom Domain field under "Page Settings"
Note: The titles of the fields in your DNS management area can vary between Domain providers. If you have any questions email us at help@booklaunch.io
Note: DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate across the entire Internet.
